Extending warm hugs to Hong Kong :)

I had heard different stories about family in the class. And truly, everyone has their own unique experiences with their family, most particularly their dramas and dilemmas in life. Many had pushed me to share something about my family, and unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to speak out for myself. I really get too emotional with regards to my family and I don’t want people to see how weak I can be when it comes to family matters. And I will take this chance to at least express my view in why my mom is special and extravagantly extraordinary.

It can be defined in different ways. Everyone is going to say the most obvious things like her cooking, cleaning and how she understands everything. Well, that is great, but what difference did I saw from their mom and mine? Probably, my mom is a mom to everyone. She always gives someone a chance. My friends love and confide in her for advice. She's the kind of mother who you can walk downtown with and not be embarrassed. My mother is always getting calls from my friends wanting to know if they can come over and hang out. My mom has taken me to my first concerts, supported my wildest dreams and she's my best friend, (even if she doesn’t know it.) Best friend in a sort of she knows everything, because she reads my diary without asking. We have the kind of relationship that I can say "I love you" and not have her ask, "And what do you want?" I can crank the music up in the house, and she will rock out with me. We hardly ever fight, only in some circumstances and we share each others clothes. Yes, she is beautiful, a great cleaner and an awesome cook, but I know no one can say they have a mom like mine. She taught us how to pray, how to love one another, how to establish good relationship with others and how to be humble in every circumstance. She is my best friend, mother, adviser, protector, manager, and most of all, a faithful servant of the Lord.

Mothers are the precious treasure troves which remain an important part of one's life even after they lose contact with her. There are times you just sit back and think about the times you learn from your mother, or suddenly after tasting a dish you prepared, you think of how your mother used to prepare it. These are some precious moments which you are reminded about incessantly even after many years. Such reflections never fail to bring a smile on my face. Mothers are such, they become a part of your psyche, as cherished memories. The reflections I had are usually nothing but the reasons for me to thank her and for you as a reader, to value her, love her, appreciate her, praise her and give her more than what she deserves. I love you Mama, Perlita C. Naron. :)

Shriveled Shrub

Shriveled Shrub
SPECIALIZED WRITING

It was a sunny spring season and the farmers were all out to plow lands and sow seeds. It’s a good weather for out growing plants and harvesting ripped fruits. In the middle of the farm land, you’ll found a baby plant needing to be cared and nurtured in order to grow fast and fruitful. Unfortunately, the farmer was too way busy monitoring the tall trees for it to bear lots of fruits next season. He has no time to check him out, either give him a bit of his attention. The poor baby plant was left out and seemed to be an outcast because he was the only non-bearing plant in the farm land while all of the trees surrounding him produces fruits. They give benefits and happiness to their farmer. The baby plants also wanted to bear fruits, however he doesn’t have the capacity to do so which made him feel useless.

One night, he asked God, “Why did you put me in a place I don’t belong? You should have placed me somewhere who doesn’t bear fruits. At least I feel like I’m with my family. Is this your way of making me feel worthless? Letting me be surrounded by fruit-bearers? You shouldn’t have let me exist. I’m useless, Lord. I can’t even make my master happy. I’m just a shrub.” God said, “Wait for it my child.” The baby plant exclaimed, “Wait? Wait for what?” God didn’t answered him and there’s a long moment of silence till he barge in and said, “Yes Lord, I trust you and I will patiently wait.”

Several years had passed and after their last conversation, nothing followed. The baby plant grew into a tree and still he’s not bearing any fruits. Again he asked God, “Father Almighty, I’ve waited long enough. Am I about to bear fruits? When will be my time to have them?” As what God always say, “Wait for it. Soon, it will come.” And so the plant waited – patiently waited for God’s promise to happen. Years and years had passed, however, all things has its finish line, has its dead end. And the plant reached the peak of his patience that lead to asked God bluntly, “Lord, I’ve been trusting you and been waiting so long for you to fulfill you promise but you left me. You told me to wait, and I did, but nothing happened.” The sky started to get angry and poured down a heavy rain. That moment made him felt forsaken, he felt that, all this time, he wasn’t with anyone, he was really all alone.

The next morning, the sun has shined so bright and it was definitely a wonderful day, the plant thought its another worthless day for a worthless creature like him. He felt a bit uneasy as if he is carrying lots of load. He thought it was the raindrops stocked in his leaves so he shrugged himself and wagged his branches to take it off. Surprisingly, a lot of fruits fell on the ground – and it was from him. He can’t believe it. He bears a lot of fruits unlike the trees that surrounds him. And because he waited for God’s promise to happen, God gave him more of what he had actually prayed for.

Every girl's concern. :)

How to Deal When Your Crush Knows You like Him. <3

It is not typical for a girl just to approach the guy whom she likes. Most of the male persona is clueless whether a girl likes him or not. These days’ guys noticed girls who like them by flirting or seducing them. Though it is inappropriate to say to what these girls did but it is the only way to let the guy directly know that the girl liked him in an obvious way. A male’s mind is drawn to things like sports, work and things that do not involve big emotions.

It may be hard to have a conversation with the guy who knows you like him as you talk to him. It's not the end of the world. I'll be giving you a situation, for instance, you told one of your guy friends whom you're crushing on, and you didn't know he was friends with the one you like. And you really are pretty sure he told him you like him. Now my crush goes out of his way to stare at me, and he gets quiet and awkward when I see him. Oh G*d, what am I suppose to act around him? Come on girl, I'll give you tips to stay cool and keep your feet from being caught. :)

DON'T MAKE A MOUNTAIN OUT OF A MOLEHILL.
Contrary to popular belief, your life will not end just because he know you like him. If he makes fun of you, then there is something seriously wrong with him If anything, knowing you like him should spark his interest even more--- it'll definitely get him to notice you.

START WITH EMPLOYING FEW TRICKS TO MAKE HIM NOTICE YOU WITHOUT GOING TOO FAR AND FREAKING HIM OUT.
A really good one is to, while you're talking, look into his eyes for a second, then look away and smile and blush if you can manage it. Maybe twirl and fix your hair with one hand. He'll eventually knows you like him anyway, you maybe as well be cute about it.

ACT NATURAL.
Don't act defensive around him and start ignoring him. That will just weird him out.

IF YOUR CRUSH IS A SHY-TYPE,
and doesn't really talk to you, don't get upset. Don't get your hopes too high, then talk to him confidently and to-the-point as he may not get annoyed.

ALWAYS, ALWAYS SMILE.
It puts him at ease and lets him know you enjoy being around him. if you don't think you have a good looking smile, practice making faces in the mirror (Embarrassing, of course, yet it really works) until you're confident in all your expressions. Once you've got the muscle sequences down, you're all set.

THINK OF IT AS A TURNING POINT.
If he finds out you like him, it's up to him to deal with what he just found out. If he acts on it positively, that could be the start of something good. If he remains NR (No Reaction), then it could mark the end of the era. That's not such bad thing either.

DRIVE ANOTHER EXPERIMENT.
If you can't handle the embarrassment, you could actually use the experience to move on and find a new guy to crush on.

The huge ego is just a bold front, dig deeper and you will find most guys deep down are quite shy and most likely need a little push to get things going. Some males will take advantage of you instead of liking you. It is to always think that some men have shallow mind too when it comes to direct physical attraction. They may even forget you the next time you meet them. Although for you it is the only way to make him know that you like him. Having guys to like us is pretty tough especially if the guy is pretty occupied. We like them to like us emotionally and be committed to us. We like them to never forget us the next time you meet again. The tips I've given are not guaranteed effective, still it depends upon you, on how you act and make your own way to be noticed and also somehow deal with the guy you're

How to Kill a Cokcroach: The Creative way

I bet, we all hate cockroaches and killing them is a big no-no! Especially when we hear that oh-so-crunchy sensation coming from them after a slipper smash. So I'll be giving you ways on how to enjoy and endure the killing of a fearsome cockroach without feeling Ewwy and definitely, NO SWEAT.

Killing a cockroach is like dancing-- ballroom dancing, specifically Cha-cha. :) So how does this work?

First step:
MISSION READY.
Be ready with your CD and DVD player and start practicing your dance steps.

OPEN YOUR COCKROACH RADAR.
Be alert! The cockroach might be somewhere and it may ambush you.

HOLD YOUR GEARS UP.
As you see the cockroach, play the music and start dancing Cha-cha. (I guess you guys know how to dance Cha-cha, I don't have to teach you then. Still, I'll give you the briefing :)

  1. Step back with your right foot
  2. Left foot in place, weight shifts to it
  3. Sidestep to the right with your right foot
  4. Vice versa

Second Step:
DO THE MOVES.
When the cockroach is approaching, do the Cha-cha dance for about a minute to entertain the fearsome pest. And eventually, (maybe) it will be dancing with you-- a dancing cockroach partner.

LET'S DO THE TWIST.
Of course it will be going near you, so grab the chance. Step on it and do the twist! (Like the commercial of Rayver Cruz at The Bar) And the crunchy sensation will fill up the air.

Third Step:
YEAH MEN, CLEAN UP.
Make sure it's already dead, and throw it in the trash can.

- Easy, right? Less stress, less fear, more enjoyment, more fun! TRY moo. :)

What I am, is all up to Him. :)

"For all of God's promises have been fulfilled in Christ, our 'Amen" ascends to God for his Glory."
                        - 2 Corinthians 1:18-

I certainly believe in a supreme being-- An omnipotent energy that exist.
God has a plan for me, but I have a part to play. He needs my cooperation if His plan is ever be fulfilled. And I say, " Yes Lord, I'm into my mission. I have faith on your words. I believe you are with me, holding my hand ever moment."

And what drives me?

  • I want to be a person without regrets. Now I understand being a person of faith makes a lot of sense. I'll practice to refuse doubt, fears, even the lack of self-esteem to keep me walking in His blessings.
  • I won't let anyone or anything hold me back and hinder me from doing my God-given tasks.
  • I'll get rid of the words and thoughts, "I can't do it" and "I am not good enough", for these words will keep me away from doing my mission.
  • I won't ever dwell on hurtful things people have said in the past that resulted me in having low self-confidence. Replace them! I'd rather replace them with the assurance from God's word, that He is always with me, that He most assuredly has a plan for my life.

As for me who always have the doubt and fear to show off myself, I wanted to share this Truth to you, which I discover to fuel up the passion God has given you. :)

"I can do all things through Christ's who strengthens me... "
(Phillipians 4:13) then listen to the voice of God as he whispers,
"You can, if you will. You are smart enough. You are rich enough. You are good-looking enough. You have everything you need to do everything I have called you to do. Now GO and DO IT." Isn't he sweet? :">

Now dare to stand out for God, and make a difference. :)
